Imlay City Spartans (Imlay City, MI) backers were pleased Saturday as they witnessed their volleyball team overcome the visiting Yale Bulldogs (Yale, MI), 3-1 in a league challenge.

The Spartans (34-9) will now prepare for their challenge against North Branch (North Branch, MI). The Broncos come into the Blue Water Area challenge with a 29-11 record. In their last challenge, North Branch beat Imlay City (Imlay City, MI), 3-0, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 28-19 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Croswell-Lexington for a Blue Water Area test on Saturday, October 25. Yale will face a Pioneers squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Armada (Armada, MI). The Pioneers record now stands at 28-24.
