October 3, 2023: Lakewood, CA 90715 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Artesia Pioneers (Lakewood, CA) and the visiting Whitney Wildcats (Cerritos, CA), saw Artesia's volleyball squad nip Whitney by a tally of 3-2.
With the win, Artesia upgrades its record to 9-7 on the year. The Pioneers travel to Pioneer (Whittier, CA) to play the Titans in a 605 bout on Friday, October 6. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 5-17. Pioneer lost 3-0 in their recent league bout against Cerritos (Cerritos, CA)
The Wildcats now own a 10-14 record. They play next when they host Oxford Academy for a 605 bout on Friday, October 6. Whitney will play a Patriots squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Glenn (Norwalk, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 18-7.
