October 3, 2024: Laurel, MS 39443 The West Jones Mustangs volleyball team scored 3 points and restricted the visiting Sacred Heart Crusaders to 1 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Mustangs now possess a 17-8 record. They play next when they host Long Beach for a non-league outing on Tuesday, October 8. West Jones will play a Bearcats team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Hancock (Kiln, MS). The Bearcats record now stands at 13-10.
With the loss, Sacred Heart drops to 12-12 on the campaign. The Crusaders host South Delta (Rolling Fork, MS) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league outing on Saturday, October 5. The Bulldogs come into the outing with a record of 4-5. South Delta lost 3-1 in their recent league outing against West Bolivar (Rosedale, MS)
