The Desert Sunrise Golden Hawks football squad scored 53 points and limited the visiting La Joya Community Fighting Lobos to 13 in the Golden Hawks league triumph on Friday.

The Golden Hawks now hold a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Sierra Linda for a 4A Southwest challenge on Friday, October 10. Desert Sunrise will face a Bulldogs team coming off a 31-26 league win over Agua Fria (Avondale, AZ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 6-0.

The Fighting Lobos (2-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Westview (Avondale, AZ). The Knights go into the 4A Southwest challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Westview was ripped by Lee Williams (Kingman, AZ), 35-10, in a non-league challenge.
