New Mexico High School Football - Eldorado falls to La Cueva

October 3, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87111

The La Cueva Bears felled the host Eldorado Golden Eagles football team by a score of 26-7 in Friday's league challenge.

In their next game, the Bears play the Los Lunas Tigers (Los Lunas, NM) in a 6A District 2 challenge, on Friday, October 10. La Cueva will attempt to improve on its 4-2 season record. The Tigers go into the challenge with a 3-2 record after their 14-14 league Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM).

With the defeat, Eldorado drops to 2-4 on the campaign. The Golden eagles travel to Sandia (Albuquerque, NM) to meet the Matadors in a 6A District 2 test on Friday, October 10. The Matadors come into the test with a record of 2-4. Sandia won 37-13 in their recent league test against Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM)
