The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Scottsbluff Bearcats (Scottsbluff, NE) and the host Gering Bulldogs (Gering, NE), witnessed Scottsbluff's football squad topple Gering by a count of 34-7.

The Bearcats (5-1) will now prepare for their contest against Hastings (Hastings, NE). The Tigers enter the B District 5 contest with a 1-5 record. In their last contest, Hastings was topped by McCook (McCook, NE), 33-0, in a league battle.

The Bulldogs now own a 4-2 record. They play next when they travel to Lexington for a B District 5 battle on Friday, October 10. Gering will play a Minutemen team coming off a 14-8 non-league win over Alliance (Alliance, NE). The Minutemen record now stands at 2-4.
