The McCool Junction Mustangs football squad scored 64 points and limited the host Heartland Huskies to 24 in the Mustangs league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now hold a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they host Centennial for a D1 District 6 (8 Man) test on Friday, October 10. McCool Junction will meet a Broncos squad coming off a 84-8 league loss to Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE). The Broncos record now stands at 0-6.

With the loss, Heartland falls to 1-5 on the year. The Huskies travel to East Butler (Brainard, NE) to face the Tigers in a D1 District 6 (8 Man) challenge on Friday, October 10. The Tigers enter the challenge with a record of 4-2. East Butler won 40-26 in their recent league challenge against Mead (Mead, NE)
