St. Amant Gators (St. Amant, LA) followers went home happy Friday as they witnessed their football squad topple the visiting Prairieville Hurricanes (Prairieville, LA), 49-24 in a league match.

The Gators (7-2) will now prepare for their match against Denham Springs (Denham Springs, LA). The Yellowjackets enter the 5A District 5 match with a 7-2 record. In their last match, Denham Springs thwarted Walker (Walker, LA), 62-34, in a league match.

Coming up next, the Hurricanes confront the St. Thomas Aquinas Falcons (Hammond, LA) in a non-league match, on Friday, November 7. Prairieville will attempt to upgrade on its 4-5 season record.
