October 4, 2022: Hayesville, NC 28904 The crowd at Tuesday's league bout between the Hayesville Yellowjackets (Hayesville, NC) and the visiting Swain County Maroon Devils (Bryson City, NC), saw Hayesville's volleyball squad beat Swain County by a tally of 3-0.
With the win, Hayesville upgrades its record to 11-7 on the year. The Yellowjackets host Cherokee (Cherokee, NC) to play the Braves in a Big Smoky Mountain 1A bout on Thursday, October 6. The Braves go into the bout with a record of 13-6. Cherokee won 3-0 in their recent league bout against Andrews (Andrews, NC)
The Maroon Devils now own a 10-7 record. They play next when they travel to Murphy for a Big Smoky Mountain 1A bout on Thursday, October 6. Swain County will play a Bulldogs squad coming off a 3-1 league win over Robbinsville (Robbinsville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 16-4.
