October 4, 2024: Wakefield, MA 01880 Burlington Red Devils (Burlington, MA) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team gain a win over the host Wakefield Memorial Warriors (Wakefield, MA), 20-7 in a league battle.
With the win, Burlington advances its record to 4-0 on the season. The Red Devils host Wilmington (Wilmington, MA) to encounter the Wildcats in a Middlesex - Freedom battle on Thursday, October 10. The Wildcats go into the battle with a record of 0-5. Wilmington lost 28-26 in their recent league battle against Watertown (Watertown, MA)
The Warriors now own a 1-3 record. They play next when they travel to Winchester for a non-league battle on Thursday, October 10. Wakefield Memorial will encounter a Red & Black team coming off a 42-0 league win over Belmont (Belmont, MA). The Red & Black record now stands at 3-1.
