Mississippi High School Football - Newton County Academy beat Deer Creek

The Newton County Academy Generals football squad scored 50 points and limited the host Deer Creek Warriors to 22 in the Generals league triumph on Friday.

The Generals now sport a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Sunflower Academy for a MAIS 8-Man 2A District 2 (8 Man) test on Friday, October 11. Newton County Academy will meet a Rebels squad coming off a 32-8 non-league win over Marvell Academy (Marvell, AR). The Rebels record now stands at 1-5.

With the defeat, Deer Creek drops to 1-5 on the campaign. The Warriors host Humphreys Academy (Belzoni, MS) to meet the Rebels in a MAIS 8-Man 2A District 2 (8 Man) test on Friday, October 11. The Rebels come into the test with a record of 6-1. Humphreys Academy won 44-42 in their recent league test against Tunica Academy (Tunica, MS)
