In Monday's league match, the Essex Hornets (Essex Junction, VT) volleyball squad overcame the visiting Champlain Valley Union Redhawks (Hinesburg, VT), by a count of 3-1.

The Hornets (10-0) will now prepare for their contest against Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT). The Green Knights enter the non-league contest with a 5-4 record. In their last contest, Rice Memorial notched a victory over St. Johnsbury Academy (St. Johnsbury, VT), 3-1, in a non-league contest.
