Game Summary
Squires hosted Littlestown for Senior night. The game was very competitive and ended dramatically. Goalie Liam Russell #1 had a head injury at the end of the first half and came out to be assessed. Aidan Groves #53 replaced him in goal. (2 saves) He was cleared to play by the trainer and played the entire second half. (Total saves for Russell - 3) Both teams were scoreless at the end of regulation despite 6 shots on goal and 16 total shots by the Squires. Before overtime could begin, the referee pulled Liam out of goal citing he was too injured to play. Aidan Groves who previously replaced him in goal in the first half was still out of the game on a yellow card at the end of the 2nd half. Fernando Salazar #17 was in goal with 1 great save! A. Groves was put back into the game as goalie and the Bolts scored shortly after that. Tough loss.
