In Tuesday's non-league match, the Laney Buccaneers (Wilmington, NC) volleyball squad tipped the visiting New Hanover Wildcats (Wilmington, NC), by a count of 2-1.

Next up, the Buccaneers confront the North Brunswick Scorpions (Leland, NC) in a bout, on Thursday, October 9. Laney will attempt to better on its 9-9 season record. The Scorpions enter the match with a 6-14 record after their 2-0 non-league loss to Hoggard (Wilmington, NC).
