The South Caldwell Spartans edged the host St. Stephens Indians volleyball team by a margin of 2-1 in Tuesday's non-league outing.

The Spartans now possess a 15-3 record. They play next when they host Alexander Central for a outing on Thursday, October 9. South Caldwell will play a Cougars team coming off a 2-0 league win over Freedom (Morganton, NC). The Cougars record now stands at 6-13.

With the loss, St. Stephens drops to 9-9 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to play the Pioneers in a non-league outing on Thursday, October 9.
