The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Neshoba Central Rockets (Philadelphia, MS) and the host Ridgeland Titans (Ridgeland, MS), observed Neshoba Central's football squad edge Ridgeland by a count of 42-35.

The Rockets now own a 7-0 record. They play next when they travel to Jim Hill for a 5A Region 2 contest on Friday, October 15. Neshoba Central will encounter a Tigers squad coming off a 44-7 league loss to Holmes County Central (Lexington, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 1-5.

Coming up next, the Titans encounter the Vicksburg Gators (Vicksburg, MS) in a 5A Region 2 contest, on Friday, October 15. Ridgeland will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Gators go into the contest with a 6-2 record after their 44-18 league win over Callaway (Jackson, MS).
