North Carolina High School Volleyball - South Point edged by East Gaston

October 8, 2025: Belmont, NC 28012

East Gaston Warriors (Mt. Holly, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they witnessed their volleyball team tip the host South Point Red Raiders (Belmont, NC), 3-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Warriors (20-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Stuart W. Cramer (Belmont, NC). The Storm come into the Southern Piedmont 2A/3A/4A challenge with a 14-7 record. In their last challenge, Stuart W. Cramer edged Shelby (Shelby, NC), 3-0, in a league challenge.

Next, the Red Raiders meet the Forestview Jaguars (Gastonia, NC) in a Big South 5A/6A test, on Thursday, October 9. South Point will attempt to advance on its 15-10 season record. The Jaguars go into the test with a 5-11 record after their 3-1 league win over Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC).
