Sun Valley Spartans (Monroe, NC) fans went home in high spirits Friday as they saw their football team achieve victory over the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), 28-14 in a league battle.

With the win, Sun Valley improves its record to 8-2 on the season.

The Pirates now have a 5-5 record.
