Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Fletcher Falcons (Charlotte, NC), 78-76 in a league bout.

With the win, Jackson Day upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Mariners travel to Providence Classical (Rock Hill, SC) to play the in a Metro Area bout on Monday, November 14. The go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Providence Classical won 62-32 in their recent league bout against St. Anne Catholic (Rock Hill, SC)

Next up, the Falcons play the St. Anne Catholic Eagles (Rock Hill, SC) in a Metro Area bout, on Tuesday, November 15. Fletcher will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
