November 10, 2023: Glenelg, MD 21737 The Glenelg Gladiators volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting River Hill Hawks to 0 in the Gladiators non-league victory on Friday.
The Gladiators now have a 21-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Arundel for a non-league game on Tuesday, November 14. Glenelg will meet a Wildcats team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Dulaney (Timonium, MD). The Wildcats record now stands at 23-0.
Match Summary
Glenelg started off strong and put River Hill out of system with tough serving and being able to score point. Liesl Walter had a huge match with11 kills, her best match this season! In the second set, River Hill got off to a quick lead before a timeout settled things down for Glenelg. Livy McDonough had a huge serving run and got Glenelg out in front. The third set was a great start for Glenelg and they just kept putting the pressure as River Hill was fighting to stay in the match. Glenelg would prevail with some huge serving.
