November 17, 2022: Alcoa, TN 37701 Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Alcoa Tornadoes (Alcoa, TN) and the visiting Cocke County Fighting Cocks (Newport, TN), saw Alcoa's basketball squad overcome Cocke County by a tally of 70-60.
With the victory, Alcoa improves its record to 2-0 on the campaign. The Tornadoes travel to South-Doyle (Knoxville, TN) to confront the Cherokees in a non-league challenge on Monday, November 21. The Cherokees come into the challenge with a record of 1-1.
Next up, the Fighting Cocks confront the Asheville Cougars (Asheville, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, November 29. Cocke County will attempt to improve on its 1-1 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 63-41 non-league loss to R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC).
