The Cypress Centurions basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Yorba Linda Mustangs to 47 in the Centurions non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Centurions now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Beckman for a non-league contest on Friday, November 18. Cypress will battle a Patriots team coming off a 53-36 non-league win over Westminster (Westminster, CA). The Patriots record now stands at 2-0.

The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their contest against Anaheim (Anaheim, CA). The Colonists enter the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Anaheim ran past Shadow Hills (Indio, CA), 53-36, in a non-league contest.
