The Kankakee Valley Kougars (Wheatfield, IN) basketball nipped the host Highland Trojans (Highland, IN), 38-36 in Friday's league test.

The Kougars (3-2) will now prepare for their test against Lafayette Central Catholic (Lafayette, IN). The Knights go into the non-league test with a 2-3 record. In their last test, Lafayette Central Catholic was tipped by Benton Central (Oxford, IN), 63-42, in a league test.

The Trojans now own a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Wheeler for a non-league test on Saturday, November 18. Highland will encounter a Bearcats squad coming off a 58-26 non-league loss to West Central (Francesville, IN). The Bearcats record now stands at 0-6.
