Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) backers went home thrilled Monday as they saw their basketball team smash the host NCSSM: Morganton Dragons (Morganton, NC), 47-7 in a non-league contest.

The Gryphons (1-0) will now prepare for their contest against Pinnacle Classical Academy (Shelby, NC). The Eagles go into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Pinnacle Classical Academy was trounced by Highland Tech (Gastonia, NC), 58-47, in a non-league match.

The Dragons now sport a 1-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Cherryville for a non-league match on Wednesday, November 19.
