The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy Gryphons (Mooresboro, NC) and the visiting Jackson Day Mariners (Charlotte, NC), observed Thomas Jefferson Classical Academy's basketball team knock off Jackson Day by a score of 60-47.

The Gryphons (17-4) will now prepare for their challenge against NCSSM: Morganton (Morganton, NC). The Dragons enter the Catawba River 1A/2A/3A battle with a 3-13 record. In their last battle, NCSSM: Morganton lost by Sugar Creek Charter (Charlotte, NC), 48-25, in a league battle.

The Mariners now own a 18-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Mountain Island Charter for a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A battle on Friday, February 13.
