The Jackson Day Mariners basketball team scored 43 points and limited the visiting Sugar Creek Charter Wildcats to 14 in the Mariners league triumph on Friday.

The Mariners now have a 17-3 record. They play next when they travel to Piedmont Community Charter for a Catawba River 1A/2A/3A game on Monday, February 2. Jackson Day will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 84-19 league loss to Queen's Grant (Matthews, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 7-14.
