North Carolina High School Basketball - Elkin nips Surry Central
November 18, 2022: Elkin, NC 28621 Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC), 37-31 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Elkin upgrades its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Buckin' Elks travel to West Iredell (Statesville, NC) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 22. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 1-0. West Iredell won 56-37 in their recent non-league bout against South Rowan (China Grove, NC)
Next up, the Golden Eagles play the West Stokes Wildcats (King, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, November 25. Surry Central will attempt to upgrade on its 0-1 season record.
