The North Stokes Vikings basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks to 35 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Friday.

The Vikings now sport a 10-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Starmount for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 24. North Stokes will meet a Rams team coming off a 49-41 non-league loss to Forbush (East Bend, NC). The Rams record now stands at 8-6.

The Buckin' Elks (6-9) will now prepare for their contest against Alleghany (Sparta, NC). The Trojans enter the non-league contest with a 0-7 record. In their last contest, Alleghany was defeated by South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC), 44-13, in a league contest.
