The Alexander Central Cougars crushed the host East Burke Cavaliers basketball team by a tally of 77-53 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Cougars now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Davie County for a non-league bout on Tuesday, November 25. Alexander Central will play a War Eagles team coming off a 61-58 non-league loss to West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC). The War Eagles record now stands at 1-1.

With the loss, East Burke falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to St. Stephens (Hickory, NC) to play the Indians in a non-league bout on Friday, November 21. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 2-0. St. Stephens won 76-34 in their recent non-league bout against Draughn (Valdese, NC)
