Vanguard Knights (Ocala, FL) supporters left the game happy Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad hold off the host Santa Fe Raiders (Alachua, FL), 39-32 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Vanguard advances its record to 2-0 on the year. The Knights host Belleview (Belleview, FL) to face the Rattlers in a 5A District 5 match on Friday, November 21. The Rattlers enter the match with a record of 2-0. Belleview won 55-9 in their recent non-league match against Ocala Christian (Ocala, FL)

The Raiders now own a 0-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Bradford for a non-league match on Monday, November 24. Santa Fe will face a Tornadoes squad coming off a 49-46 non-league win over The Rock (Gainesville, FL). The Tornadoes record now stands at 1-1.
