Illinois High School Basketball - St. Francis can't hold off Downers Grove South
November 21, 2023: Wheaton, IL 60187 The Downers Grove South Mustangs basketball team scored 60 points and restricted the host St. Francis Spartans to 58 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Tuesday.
The Mustangs now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Geneva for a non-league contest on Friday, November 24. Downers Grove South will battle a Vikings team coming off a 53-39 non-league win over Prairie Ridge (Crystal Lake, IL). The Vikings record now stands at 3-0.
The Spartans (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against South Elgin (South Elgin, IL). The Storm come into the non-league contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, South Elgin edged Prairie Ridge (Crystal Lake, IL), 68-51, in a non-league contest.
