The Elkin Buckin' Elks basketball team scored 44 points and held the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles to 42 in the Buckin' Elks non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Buckin' Elks now sport a 2-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Union Grove Christian for a non-league contest on Tuesday, November 28. Elkin will battle a Patriots team coming off a 61-43 non-league loss to Veritas Christian Academy (Arden, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 0-5.

The Eagles (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against West Iredell (Statesville, NC). The Warriors enter the non-league contest with a 0-1 record. In their last contest, West Iredell was nudged by Elkin (Elkin, NC), 40-11, in a non-league contest.
