North Carolina High School Basketball - Starmount nipped by Wilkes Central

December 20, 2023: Boonville, NC 27011

In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles basketball team scored a tight 49-48 triumph over the Starmount Rams.

In their next game, the Eagles face the Langtree Charter Lions (Mooresville, NC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 28. Wilkes Central will attempt to move on its 4-4 season record. The Lions enter the match with a 4-7 record after their 78-19 league loss to Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC).

With the defeat, Starmount moves to 1-6 on the year. The Rams travel to North Surry (Mount Airy, NC) to face the Greyhounds in a non-league match on Thursday, December 28. The Greyhounds enter the match with a record of 7-0. North Surry won 68-23 in their recent non-league match against South Stokes (Walnut Cove, NC)
