Louisiana High School Basketball - Opelousas holds off New Iberia
November 24, 2025: Opelousas, LA 70525 The Opelousas Tigers basketball team scored 49 points and limited the visiting New Iberia Yellowjackets to 46 in the Tigers non-league triumph on Monday.
The Tigers now possess a 2-0 record. They play next when they travel to Eunice for a non-league game on Monday, December 1. Opelousas will confront a Bobcats team coming off a 23-22 league loss to DeRidder (DeRidder, LA). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-3.
With the loss, New Iberia falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets host Cecilia (Cecilia, LA) to confront the Bulldogs in a non-league game on Tuesday, November 25. The Bulldogs go into the game with a record of 2-2. Cecilia won 52-24 in their recent non-league game against Highland Baptist Christian (New Iberia, LA)
