Illinois High School Basketball - Newton crushes Marshall
November 25, 2022: Newton, IL 62448 Newton Eagles (Newton, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Marshall Lions (Marshall, IL), 81-56 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Newton upgrades its record to 1-1 on the season. The Eagles travel to Okaw Valley (Bethany, IL) to clash with the Timberwolves in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 26. The Timberwolves go into the bout with a record of 1-1. Okaw Valley won 49-41 in their recent non-league bout against Vandalia (Vandalia, IL)
Next up, the Lions clash with the Vandalia Vandals (Vandalia, IL) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, November 26. Marshall will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Vandals go into the bout with a 0-2 record after their 49-41 non-league loss to Okaw Valley (Bethany, IL).
