Illinois High School Basketball - Bureau Valley nips Elmwood
November 25, 2023: Manlius, IL 61338 Bureau Valley Storm (Manlius, IL) backers were in high spirits Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Elmwood Trojans (Elmwood, IL), 45-41 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Bureau Valley upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Storm travel to Erie-Prophetstown (Erie, IL) to play the Panthers in a Three Rivers - West bout on Tuesday, November 28. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 0-3. Erie-Prophetstown lost 62-33 in their recent non-league bout against Kewanee (Kewanee, IL)
Next up, the Trojans play the West Prairie Cyclones (Sciota, IL) in a Prairieland bout, on Wednesday, November 29. Elmwood will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Cyclones go into the bout with a 0-5 record after their 84-41 non-league loss to Hamilton/Warsaw (Hamilton, IL).
