In Tuesday's non-league contest, the visiting Superior Panthers basketball squad scored a nice 54-45 victory over the Apache Junction Prospectors.

With the victory, Superior upgrades its record to 1-1 on the year. The Panthers host Valley Lutheran (Phoenix, AZ) to face the Flames in a 1A East match on Wednesday, December 3. The Flames enter the match with a record of 1-0. Valley Lutheran won 62-46 in their recent non-league match against North Phoenix Preparatory Academy (Phoenix, AZ)

The Prospectors now sport a 0-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Valley Christian for a 3A Central match on Tuesday, December 2. Apache Junction will face a Trojans squad coming off a 79-43 league win over Globe (Globe, AZ). The Trojans record now stands at 2-1.
