In Monday's non-league contest, the host Apache Junction Prospectors basketball squad scored a tight 44-42 victory over the Miami Vandals.

Next, the Prospectors face the Palo Verde Titans (Tucson, AZ) in a non-league outing, on Tuesday, December 9. Apache Junction will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record. The Titans enter the outing with a 5-2 record after their 53-50 non-league win over Yuma Catholic (Yuma, AZ).
