The Newton-Conover Red Devils (Newton, NC) basketball edged the visiting Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC), 50-44 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Red Devils now possess a 3-0 record. They play next when they travel to East Rutherford for a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 3. Newton-Conover will play a Cavaliers team coming off a 81-54 non-league loss to McDowell (Marion, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 0-3.

With the loss, Wilkes Central falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Patton (Morganton, NC) to play the Panthers in a non-league bout on Wednesday, November 27. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Patton lost 78-42 in their recent non-league bout against East Burke (Connelly Springs, NC)
