The Newton-Conover Red Devils nipped the host Alexander Central Cougars basketball squad by a final score of 53-48 in Monday's non-league outing.

Next, the Red Devils face the East Burke Cavaliers (Connelly Springs, NC) in a 2A Catawba Valley outing, on Tuesday, January 7. Newton-Conover will attempt to upgrade on its 6-4 season record. The Cavaliers enter the outing with a 6-6 record after their 87-49 non-league loss to McDowell (Marion, NC).
