The Daniel Lions basketball team scored 61 points and held the host Blue Ridge Fighting Tigers to 52 in the Lions non-league triumph on Monday.

The Lions now sport a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host James F. Byrnes for a non-league contest on Thursday, November 30. Daniel will battle a Rebels team coming off a 85-81 non-league win over Mauldin (Mauldin, SC). The Rebels record now stands at 1-0.

The Fighting Tigers (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Landrum (Landrum, SC). The Cardinals enter the non-league contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Landrum was defeated by Broome (Spartanburg, SC), 63-61, in a non-league contest.
