November 27, 2023: Johnson City, TN 37614 In Monday's non-league outing, the University Buccaneers (Johnson City, TN) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Cherokee Chiefs (Rogersville, TN), by a margin of 79-41.
The Buccaneers (2-2) will now prepare for their outing against Happy Valley (Elizabethton, TN). The Warriors go into the non-league outing with a 1-3 record. In their last outing, Happy Valley was trounced by Providence Academy (Johnson City, TN), 67-43, in a non-league outing.
The Chiefs now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they travel to Chuckey-Doak for a non-league outing on Tuesday, November 28. Cherokee will clash with a Black Knights squad coming off a 68-63 non-league loss to Unicoi County (Erwin, TN). The Black Knights record now stands at 0-2.
