North Carolina High School Basketball - Galax crushes Alleghany

November 28, 2022: Sparta, NC 28675

Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) backers were in high spirits Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC), 43-21 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Galax upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Maroon Tide travel to Graham (Bluefield, VA) to play the G-Men in a non-league bout on Wednesday, November 30. The G-Men go into the bout with a record of 0-1. Graham lost 58-28 in their recent non-league bout against Narrows (Narrows, VA)

Next up, the Trojans play the Surry Central Golden Eagles (Dobson, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, November 29. Alleghany will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 2-0 record after their 48-31 non-league win over West Stokes (King, NC).
