Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Galax Maroon Tide (Galax, VA) and the host Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA), saw Galax's basketball squad knock off Grayson County by a count of 50-31.

With the victory, Galax upgrades its record to 6-4 on the campaign. The Maroon Tide travel to Rural Retreat (Rural Retreat, VA) to play the Indians in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, January 4. The Indians come into the challenge with a record of 7-4. Rural Retreat won 35-23 in their recent non-league challenge against Narrows (Narrows, VA)

Next up, the Blue Devils play the Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, January 5. Grayson County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-6 season record.
