Virginia High School Basketball - Alleghany overwhelms Rockbridge County
November 28, 2023: Lexington, VA 24450 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Alleghany Cougars (Covington, VA) and the host Rockbridge County Wildcats (Lexington, VA), saw Alleghany's basketball squad wallop Rockbridge County by a tally of 67-43.
With the victory, Alleghany improves its record to 1-0 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA) to play the Cavaliers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, November 30. The Cavaliers come into the challenge with a record of 1-0. Lord Botetourt won 74-66 in their recent non-league challenge against Blacksburg (Blacksburg, VA)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Salem Spartans (Salem, VA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 5. Rockbridge County will attempt to improve on its 0-1 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 63-47 non-league loss to Northside (Roanoke, VA).
