The Union Pines Vikings basketball team scored 43 points and held the visiting Western Harnett Eagles to 22 in the Vikings non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Vikings now sport a 1-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gray's Creek for a non-league contest on Friday, December 1. Union Pines will battle a Bears team coming off a 38-21 non-league loss to Pine Forest (Fayetteville, NC). The Bears record now stands at 1-1.

The Eagles (2-2) will now prepare for their contest against Chatham Central (Bear Creek, NC). The Bears enter the non-league contest with a 2-1 record. In their last contest, Chatham Central triumphed over Triangle Math & Science (Apex, NC), 70-37, in a non-league contest.
