Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Union Pines Vikings (Cameron, NC) and the visiting Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC), saw Union Pines's basketball squad wallop Southern Lee by a tally of 73-14.

With the victory, Union Pines improves its record to 9-7 on the campaign. The Vikings host Pinecrest (Southern Pines, NC) to play the Patriots in a 3A/4A Sandhills challenge on Tuesday, January 23.
