In Friday's non-league match, the host Cox Mill Chargers football squad scored a good 45-33 victory over the Lake Norman Wildcats.

In their next game, the Chargers clash with the Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) in a non-league match, on Friday, November 11. Cox Mill will attempt to move on its 9-2 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 10-1 record after their 29-19 non-league win over Marvin Ridge (Waxhaw, NC).
