November 8, 2024: Big Lake, AK 99652 The Houston Hawks ice hockey team scored 6 points and held the visiting Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears to 1 in the Hawks non-league victory on Friday.
The Hawks now own a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Anchorage for a non-league bout on Saturday, November 9. Houston will play a Wolverines team coming off a 6-4 non-league win over Palmer (Palmer, AK). The Wolverines record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Juneau-Douglas moves to 1-1 on the season. The Crimson bears host Colony (Palmer, AK) to play the Knights in a non-league bout on Saturday, November 9. The Knights go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Colony lost 5-3 in their recent non-league bout against West Valley (Fairbanks, AK)
