Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lake Central Indians (St. John, IN) and the visiting Merrillville Pirates (Merrillville, IN), saw Lake Central's basketball squad overcome Merrillville by a tally of 60-43.

With the victory, Lake Central improves its record to 7-1 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Andrean (Merrillville, IN) to confront the Fighting 59ers in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, December 6. The Fighting 59ers come into the challenge with a record of 2-5. Andrean lost 38-22 in their recent non-league challenge against Lafayette Central Catholic (Lafayette, IN)
